I still have more confidence to gain and more to learn but I can testify that within just a few week period of talking to all and just being confident, I have already gained more confidence and have witnessed miracles! In Mosiah 2:20-24 we learn that God is so great. While studying in Doctrine and Covenants I realized it is in fact a commandment from the Lord to open our mouths and declare his word! "And thou must open thy mouth at ALL times, declaring my gospel with the sound of rejoicing."-D&C 28:16 Every night since my interview with president I have been praying for confidence and when I walk out of the flat I fake it till I make it. After a talk with my President it was clear that I need to be more Bold and Confident. I've been wanting to improve in any way possible so I decided to ask him. Before our interviews he told us if we want to know what we can work on as missionaries he will be honest and tell us. My Interview with President was exactly what I needed. after an amazing Zone Conference.I found it! Our Zone Conference was all about the atonement! Probably one of the most powerful Zone Conferences ever! Our Mission President has such an amazing understanding of the atonement and every missionary walked out of the mission home inspired to dig a little deeper and try even harder. Every week I feel like I learn more and more and I just think what could possibly be my next step and well. It’s like you are on Cloud 9, it’s the key to having an excellent mission, obedience and hard work. Also when you are obedient, you understand the scriptures better and are a much better missionary. Obedience and hard work is pure happiness and health. It destroys yourself and you feel bad physically and spiritually. Laziness and disobedience as a missionary is like a poison. When you are an obedient missionary, it doesn’t just help others, it helps yourself. When it was hard in Cameroon, this talk helped me want to be strong and to push myself to be a hard working missionary. Callister helped me the most to want to be a super obedient missionary. I marked every scripture in the Book of Mormon where it said to do something. I wanted to prove that promise in my own life. Following its teachings is critical, its not just reading, its putting into practice. Joseph Smith said in the introduction of Book of Mormon as saying that it is the truest book and that following its teachings brings you closer to God than any other book. At the same time, I changed the way I was studying the Book of Mormon. I was able to use those scriptures when teaching and it helped my teaching a lot. I would read it and whenever it mentioned a scripture from the Book of Mormon, I would read and mark that scripture. It taught things much easier than PMG and it helped me immensely to understand the gospel and grow my testimony.
